The Festival Begins

Today the festival kicked-off it's 1st day in Kigali. After reading the guys posts about Rwanda, I decided to watch the movie, Hotel Rwanda, on YouTube last night. It continues to amaze me all that this town experienced....1 million killed in genocide...lost parents, children, husbands, wives, murdered in front of innocent eyes. And, they still have hope in their eyes and the capacity to smile. If makes me wonder how it is that we have so much in America and still cannot find contentment.

The skate & BMX was instantly popular in a place where this sport has really never been seen. Check out the photos & video below:
